"As usual, and excellent selection of tracks, all running in the smooth atmosphere created by the Enya intro; a play between piano, ulean pipes and flutes, the mist and forlorn beaches of Scotland, together with the sound of springs in patchy sunlight.
The mixes stretches deep in time, in an balanced dialogue of pure voices (Enya, Clannad, Secret Garden, Terry Oldfield) and exquisite instrumental sequences (Amethystium, Hanz Zimmer, etc). A breath runs along the entire set, owing to songs that are mostly beatless, or rather slow.
The pure majesty of some tracks (All of Them) offers a stringent contrast to the simplicity of Enya and related artists. There's inspiration, oh yes, and music, too.
To summarize, this mix is a reminder that Chillout did not appear with Robert Miles and dream trance. It is not a music of time; it's a music of space.
Chillout doesn't fit time, but space..."- FauxReveur
